The British Embassy in Slovakia will launch a brand new online service for customers to use in order to book appointments for notarial services on the 15th of April 2012. This service will allow customers to book their appointments from the comfort of their own homes at any time of the day and receive immediate confirmation.
The British Embassy in Slovakia, following the successful pilots in Portugal, is the first among British consular missions in the Central European Network to pilot this online booking system. If this proves successful, we expect this practice to be replicated by British Consulates in other countries. The type of notarial services provided by the British Embassy include, amongst others, taking oaths or affirmations and notices of marriage.
Until now notarial services have been carried out on an ad hoc basis, or by telephone or e-mail booking at our Embassy. This meant sending an email and waiting for a reply to know whether the appointment was confirmed or not. Now to make things easier for all our customers booking an appointment is literally just a click away.
The online service includes easy to follow Online appointment system link, or alternatively follow a link from our homepage.
The registration part is extremely straightforward as only an email address and contact phone number is required. Then it is just a case of choosing the service required, clicking on the available day and time and clicking send. The confirmation email will come immediately and a reminder will be sent out at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Customers can even save their appointment on their outlook calendar to keep things organised.
For customers who are not able to book online, it will still be possible to book an appointment by contacting us on 02/ 59982000 (or +421 2 59982000 if calling from outside Slovakia).
