Michael Roberts

Michael Roberts arrived in Slovakia as British Ambassador in August 2007. He is married to pianist Margaret Ozanne.  They have three children - Helen, Clare and Edward.

Career history

An EU specialist, HMA Michael Roberts has previously served in the UK’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels (1995-99) and in the Prime Minister’s European Secretariat (1999-2003) where he specialised in institutional and enlargement issues.   He has also served at the British Embassy in Athens (1987-91) and most recently in Ankara where he was Deputy Head of Mission (2004-07).
